Large painting

Well, I've worked small and medium but never larger than 24x30.  Now, however, I will attempt
a large painting, 60x40, for my daughters new house.  The subject is selected, as is the canvas.
I am looking at this as an adventure.

If anyone has any suggestions on do's and don'ts for this project, I would welcome them.  I've done
a sketch and small painting..........may do another.

people will pay $500 for a salad bowl, but now a painting.  So I've decided that no matter what, I'm

It has been so gloomy here in the Northwest that I had to do something bright
and cheerful.  And, what is more cheerful than poppies?  This is just one of 4
small paintings that I'll do of various poppies in various values, colors and types.

These musicians are so much fun.  I'm working on a large painting of
street musician I saw in Bologna, Italy this fall.  My husband says he's
learned alot about art since we married.  I love to say I know more about
music because of him, but I still have a tin ear.  I do now know what a riff
and a bridge are.
